Week 3 Poll results are in!

Refresh your memory after a long break from the election!

Speeches

After passionate speeches given by the candidates, the electorate was moved. We asked them to vote on whose speeches they found the best. Candidate Bella and Ben tied for first place with 43.8% of the electorate liking their speeches. Candidate Jack, in a turn of events, came in last with a measly 12.5% liking his speech. To help the candidates, we also asked the electorate to provide feedback. In general, the electorate said candidate Ben was very passionate but some of his word choice was repetitive and he rushed through the speech. Candidate Bella came off as powerful but she could have spoken slowly. The electorate did not like that Candidate Jack was laughing in the middle of his speech.

Scandals

We asked the electorate about the effectiveness of the candidates responses to their scandals. On average, they thought that candidate Bella did a good job of diverting her "math homework" scandal by saying she was trying to help her daughter and candidate Jack did an average job with his "endangered animals" scandal by saying he bought them to save them.

Candidates

Finally, the electorate were asked about who they would vote for if the election were today. Interestingly, even though they found Candidate Bella's speech to be the best and Candidate Jack's speech the worst, 43.8% said they would vote for Candidate Jack and Ben each while 12.5% would vote for Candidate Bella. The electorate is sending some mixed signals so candidate be sharp.

Lastly, 5 states decided to not participate in this poll and by doing so tried to hinder the democratic process. They were: Colorado, Maryland, Georgia, Idaho, Kentucky, a total of 47 votes out of 209, 22.5% of the total votes.
