An Unkept Promise From the Daily Derenberger...

By Shubham and Sam

After a weekend of feuding over social media; The Whitman Works and Daily Derenberger came to amends. Or so the Whitman Works thought....

On the evening of December 6th, The Daily Derenberger added a post to their Instagram story accusing The Whitman Works of stealing their Instagram bio. Whitman Works pollster, Shubham Mittal, was enraged by this baseless and false accusation. He responded promptly claiming that the Daily Derenberger’s account was created after the Whitman Works. After a back and forth social media argument, Shubham forced the Daily Derenberger to come to their senses and apologize. He graciously accepted the apology on behalf of the Whitman Works team and ended the feud while also exposing them as an unreliable news source.

This past Monday, December 9th, Shubham, the pollster, and editor in chief, Max Krauth, visited the Daily Derenberger staff to settle the matter once and for all. After a successful chat and photo shoot, the Whitman Works returned to their media team in order to produce reliable articles.

Later that day, The Daily Derenberger posted a video, clearly staged, of two candidates claiming the Whitman Works is “unreliable” hence withdrawing their support. The Daily Derenberger claims these are the opinions of the candidates, but they were most likely forced under the threat of scandalous articles. At a comment of a candidate bad mouthing the Whitman Works, the Daily Dereburger pretty much endorsed them, breaking the rules of the election cycle. This again, is a clear example of non-credible reporting.

Shubham Mittal has taken it upon himself to uphold the integrity of The Whitman Works rather than stooping to petty levels like The Daily Derenburger has. They have waged war, and The Whitman Works will not fall short of equality.
